I need help with iWebKit for iPad. (Update: Thank you all!)

I had an iPad, yes I did… Unfortunately it got stolen and thus I have not been able to finish the iPad version I started to make. Now that I’ve moved on with iWebKit 6 I won’t be able to just create an iPad version without an iPad. I will need to copy the interface, colors, elements, sizes etc. And I’ll have to test the javascript performance on it.

My plan would be to add a left menu in a standard iWebKit page that only shows on the iPad. This way less screen estate is lost and you don’t have to make multiple websites for multiple devices. Also i would add some exclusive iPad features like the popup menu and some page styles.

So to be able to make this i would need an iPad, now I am just a student that earns some money through his website to run his server but I really could need some of your help to finance this project. iWebKit 6 preview (update: link!)

Hi folks,

Just a quick update to tell you iWebKit 6 is coming along well. I’ll give you some of the new features you should expect. None of these are confirmed but i’ll try to make all of them:
- High res images
- more element options
- more code error detection
- HTML5
- New interfaces
- A lot lighter
- Offline mode
- easier structure with less elements
- better measurements
- Slide effect (really not certain)
- And a lot more to come…

Hi, My name is Christopher Plieger.

Snippetspace is a brand new site where I will be posting all my web development and design projects, like iWebKit, my iphone Webapp framework. As some of you might have noticed, Snippetspace replaces iwebkit.net. I made this choice because I wanted be able to expand my development projects and work on other products besides iWebKit.

I will not only build new extensions and add-ons to iWebKit but also some brand new and useful tools. The site is also a lot more user friendly and the forum and blog are more integrated than they were before. This all comes with a brand new website design focusing on communication and bringing you the latest news from the moment you visit the homepage.
